I believe that life is about returning to the ancient self that we have hidden under the layers and masks we’ve innocently, and sometimes willfully, adopted from social conditioning.
Aluna: On the Sazón of Being is where I share my reflections in written form. It has a fluid structure and is meant to be received with an open mind and heart. A pondering on the poetry that is life, it ultimately focuses on bringing savor (flavor) back to everyday existence. These written meanderings express the mental and spiritual wanderlust of my being.

About Me
Diomarys is a Colombian-Dominican-Italian-American born and raised in New York. She’s lived at the cross-cultural and cross-sectional parts of life, often in the liminal spaces between worlds, languages, and ways of being. That in-between is where she has always felt most at home and most alive.
She came up through opera, dance, and acting. The body was her first instrument and remains her biggest mystery. She then spent eight years building financial and operational infrastructure across the nonprofit, advertising, and hospitality sectors, learning, in her own way, that tending to the numbers in someone’s practice is also a form of deep care and attention.
Aluna is where those two lives meet on the page and interweave in her mind.
She writes in English and Spanish (sometimes dabbling in other languages) and is currently pursuing her Pilates teacher certification, with hopes of opening her own studio(s) in her motherlands in the coming years.
